Whew, it's been a while since I've posted!  Here's the latest and greatest product that we've tried!

My 11 year old son is very, VERY smart. He also loves to do different types of puzzles... Case in point, when he tried out for the school talent show, he rode a unicycle while solving a Rubik's cube. He also has every other type of 'cube-like' device including triangles and gads of other stuff. He just really enjoys solving puzzles that challenge him.

I figured this Back-Spin puzzle would be interest to him since it's very different from what he's accustomed to. I was pleased to be right in this case because as soon as I gave it to him, he was off to the races. He quickly got the hang of it and started getting it as messed up as possible and then solving it. I asked him if it was 'too easy' and he said that it wasn't... that he actually had to think about it.

I'm not saying your kid has to be a genius to enjoy this device...I think anyone who enjoys puzzles will find this game to be unique and interesting!!!

Snacking For The Stars!

Payton has a pretty terrible lunch break... especially for a 1st grader.  They do not go to lunch until 1:20 in the afternoon.  Because of this, the kids are encouraged to bring a snack for mid-morning.

I really wanted to save money by not having to buy baggies, and save some room in a landfill at the same time!

I happened upon SnackCubby Reusable Snack Containers and I knew I had the right answer!

The flexible silicone is really nice and Payton was able to put more than enough snack into one of these tubes to satisfy her until lunch time!  We plan on using them over and over again and she's also excited about trying out the drink feature as well!

Mark Needed Some TLC!

Now that Mark's hunting season has FINALLY come to an end, I get my husband back... or so I thought.  Now he's preparing for the next hunt season... *sigh*

He's back out at our property in southern Ohio.  He is clearing out areas to plant 'feed plots' to encourage more deer to come to the property.  Mark is always thinking about the 'one that got away' that he named Walter.  Of course I wouldn't be a great wife if I didn't root for the other side to win, right?

Anyway... back to the point of this blog post!  He comes back to the house with his shoulders and back hurting and stiff from all the manual labor.  I feel bad for him so I take this new Shankara Muscle Release Massage Oil that I got to review and give him the mother of all fantastic wife back rubs!  Oh yeah, I totally did that!  Let's just say that shortly after I was finished, snoring commenced and it wasn't mine.  I rock!

I love this oil because it has great viscosity and allowed me to use a little amount (this stuff is expensive at $60/bottle) and rub his back for at least 30 minutes.  It has a decent smell, although it's not my favorite.  Overall, it's a great value!

Well, let's all hope that Walter continues to live an thrive and gives Mark the slip for the next season!
